You’ve been handling it. Maybe you’ve even gotten really good at handling it.

You go to work. Take care of your family. Show up at church. Do what needs to be done. You pray about it. You try to think differently. You tell yourself you should be able to get past it.

But underneath all of that, you’re tired.

Maybe your mind never seems to shut off. You second-guess yourself constantly. You’re carrying grief you haven’t really dealt with. Your relationships are struggling. You have a hard time saying no without feeling guilty. Maybe there are things in your past you wish you could change, choices you regret, or parts of your story that still bring up shame. You may know God has forgiven you and still struggle to forgive yourself. Or maybe you don’t recognize yourself anymore and honestly don’t know where to start.

You don’t have to come to counseling knowing exactly what is wrong or what you need. We can figure that out together.

Our work may mean understanding where certain patterns came from and why they keep showing up. It may mean learning how to manage emotions that feel bigger than you want them to. We may work through anxiety, grief, relationships, boundaries, self-esteem, past hurts, shame, regret, or rebuilding trust in yourself. Sometimes we’ll dig deeper. Sometimes you’ll need practical tools you can use right now.

And because I am Apostolic, there is another layer you don’t have to worry about here. You don’t have to explain why your convictions matter to you. You don’t have to mentally filter everything I say to decide whether it lines up with Scripture. And you won’t be encouraged to solve a problem by doing something that requires you to compromise your biblical values.

You can get real help for real problems without separating your mental health from the faith that shapes how you live.

If you’ve been telling yourself, “I should be able to handle this,” maybe the next step isn’t trying harder.

Maybe it’s finally having somewhere to work through it.

You didn’t get married expecting it to feel like this.

Maybe you’re fighting more than you ever thought you would. Maybe you barely talk at all. You keep having the same arguments, but nothing ever seems to get resolved. There may be resentment, broken trust, intimacy struggles, or hurts that were supposedly forgiven but never really healed.

Or maybe nothing dramatic happened. Somewhere between work, kids, church, bills, and everyday life, you slowly became roommates instead of husband and wife.

Marriage counseling gives us a place to figure out what is actually happening between you.

We’ll look beyond what you’re fighting about and pay attention to the patterns underneath it. Why does one of you shut down while the other keeps pushing to talk? Why does a simple conversation become an argument? Why does one spouse feel unheard while the other feels like nothing they do is ever enough?

Sometimes we need to work on communication and conflict. Sometimes we need to rebuild emotional safety, trust, friendship, or intimacy. There may be betrayal, resentment, family boundaries, parenting disagreements, finances, or years of hurt to work through.

There may also be things you regret. Things you’ve said. Things you’ve done. Ways you’ve hurt each other. Counseling gives you a place to be honest about those things without making one spouse the problem. The marriage is the client. We look at what each of you brings into the relationship and what needs to change between you.

And because I am Apostolic, you don’t have to wonder whether the advice you receive will ask you to compromise your biblical convictions. Your vows matter here. Scripture matters. So does dealing honestly with unhealthy patterns rather than using faith to excuse them.

You don’t have to wait until your marriage is falling apart to ask for help.

Sometimes you just need help finding your way back to each other.

You’re planning a wedding, but you’re also preparing for something much bigger than one day.

Premarital counseling gives you a chance to talk about the marriage you’re building before you’re in the middle of living it. Even couples with a strong relationship can have very different expectations about communication, money, family, sex, children, roles, conflict, and what everyday married life will actually look like.

This isn’t about looking for reasons you shouldn’t get married. It’s about having important conversations now instead of discovering after the wedding that you never talked about them.

We’ll look at how you communicate, what happens when you disagree, and where your expectations may be different. We can talk about emotional and physical intimacy, finances, family boundaries, responsibilities, parenting, decision-making, and what each of you learned about marriage growing up.

Couples can also choose to use SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) or PREPARE/ENRICH as part of premarital counseling (Extra fee applies). These assessments give us a more detailed look at your relationship, including strengths, potential areas of conflict, communication, expectations, finances, personality differences, and other areas worth talking about before marriage.

Because I am Apostolic, you don’t have to explain why biblical marriage matters to you or worry that the guidance you receive will conflict with your convictions. We can openly talk about spiritual leadership, submission, sex, roles within marriage, and other subjects that may be difficult to discuss with a counselor who does not share your biblical foundation.

The goal isn’t to prepare you for a perfect marriage.

It’s to help you enter marriage knowing each other better, having the conversations that matter, and being better prepared for the life you’re about to build together.
